Look for external leakage, corrosion, coating damage, unusual noise and actuator drift.
Exercise programme
Infrequently operated isolation valves may benefit from planned partial or full stroking where the process permits.
Packing and seals
Adjust or replace only according to the manufacturer procedure and compatible materials.
Records
Track tag number, condition, operating torque, parts replaced and test results to identify trends.
