Body style affects installation, alignment, end-of-line capability, weight and maintenance access. Selection should reflect the pipeline arrangement and service duty rather than price alone.
Wafer body
Compact and economical between two flanges, but normally depends on the complete flange-and-bolt assembly.
Lug body
Threaded lugs can support equipment isolation and downstream pipe removal when the selected design and rating permit.
Double-flanged body
Provides rigid alignment for large diameters, buried mains and important water infrastructure.
Installation checks
Confirm flange drilling, pipe inside diameter, disc clearance, gasket practice and bolt tightening sequence.
Information to include with an enquiry
Provide nominal size, pressure rating, medium, temperature, connection standard, materials, operating method, required testing and project documentation. Greysen will review the duty and confirm the final configuration in the approved data sheet.
